VR074 - Survey Marks Connection


Example Messages

  • The plan has not been connected to required number of permanent marks and primary cadastral marks. The plan having 19 lots or allotments must be connected to at least 4 PMs or PCMs The plan is currently connected to 2 PMs and 1 PCM.
  • The plan has not been connected to the required number of permanent marks and primary cadastral marks. The plan having more than 10 lots or allotments requires at least 3 PMs or PCMs and possibly further PMs or PCMs placed within the subdivision so that the distance between these marks is not greater than 100 metres or an alternate distance as approved by the Surveyor-General. For each mark that is not within 100m of another:
    "SKIPTON PM 116" is not within 100m of another mark. The distance between "SKIPTON PM 116" and the nearest mark, "SKIPTON PM 118" is 231.400.
  • The plan has not been connected to the required number of permanent marks. If more than four marks are required to be placed within the subdivision, one in every five marks placed must be a permanent mark. 2 PMs have been placed and 2 PCMs have been placed.
  • The Boundary Plan has not been connected to the required number of permanent marks, and primary cadastral marks. The Boundary Plan must be connected to at least 3 PMs or PCMs. The Boundary Plan is currently connected to 2 PMs and 0 PCMs.
  • The existing survey mark with 9 figure number of "PCM113640233" must be connected to at least one boundary point of primary parcels.

Rule Description

  • A subdivision plan must be connected to PMs, PCMs and RMs in accordance with the following principles:

       a) For up to and including 10 subject parcels, there must be at least three PMs or PCMs connected to the survey; or

       b) If there are more than 10 subject parcels, further PMs or PCMs must be connected to the cadastral survey must be placed within the subdivision so that the distance between these marks is not greater than 100 metres or an alternate distance as approved by the Surveyor-General; or

       c) If more than four marks are required to be placed by paragraph (b), one in every five marks placed must be a permanent mark.

  • The existing parcels in a Boundary Plan must be connected to at least three PMs or PCMs in the immediate vicinity of the subject land.
  • The existing PMs and PCMs must be connected to at least one boundary point of primary parcels.

VR075 - Permanent Mark in SMES


Example Messages

  • Permanent mark "STARHURST PM 36" is not found in SMES.
  • Permanent Mark "253400310" with official name "DOOBEN PM 31" is different to SMES which specify the mark name as "DOOEN PM 31".
  • New permanent mark "111111111" with name "New Mark" has not been reserved in SMES.

Rule Description

An existing or new permanent mark (PM) must have a description identifying the official mark name in SMES. The nine figure number and name must correspond to the same record in SMES.

Example Messages

  • Unable to find mark "SANDHURST PM 1999" with identifier "123456789" in SMES.
  • Mark "SANDHURST PM 1685" with "condition" of "Loose" is different to SMES which specifies "condition" as "OK".
  • Newly created mark "SANDHURST PM 1999" with identifier "123456789" was not reserved in SMES. Monuments with State of "New" must be reserved in SMES.

Rule Description

  • Mark condition of permanent marks (PM) must correspond to the same mark "status" record in SMES identified by its 9 figure number.
  • New marks must be identified as reserved in SMES.

VR110 - Monument Condition


Example Messages

  • The "condition" of Monument "MON-1" has not been specified.
  • Monument "MON-4" with state of "New" has a condition of "Found" which is not consistent with the expected condition of "Placed" or "Replaced".
  • Monument "MON-4" with condition of "Replaced" has a state of "Existing" which is not consistent with the expected state of "New".

Rule Description

  • The "condition" of Monuments must be specified.
  • Monuments with state of "New" must have condition of "Placed" or "Replaced" only.
  • Monuments with condition of "Placed" or "Replaced" must have state of "New".

VR135 - Monument State and Type


Example Messages

  • The monument associated with point "CGPNT-4" does not have a type.
  • The monument associated with point "CGPNT-22" has a type of "Survey" but this is not a valid type according to the Victorian Reference Data List.
  • The monument associated with point "CGPNT-5" has a type of "Other" but does not have a description. A description is required for this monument type.

Rule Description

  • The state of the Monument must match the state of the CgPoint at which it is placed.

       a) If the monument state is "New" then the CgPoint state must be "proposed"

       b) If the monument state is "Existing" then the CgPoint state must be "existing".

  • Monument type must not have an empty value.
  • Monument type must be one of values from the Victorian Referenced Data List for monument type.
  • If the monument type is one of the following then it also requires a description:

       a) Reference Tree

       b) Other


VR145 - Survey Data for Non-Survey Plans


Example Messages

  • A Non-Survey plan must not include any survey components, i.e., Control Point (PM / PCM), Reference Mark, Traverse Point, Traverse Line, Radiation Line and Monument. Please ensure these features are removed from ePlan.

Precondition

Return 'Not Applicable' for Survey and Partial Survey plans
